Oil Paintings – Things That Help Our Artists Develop Them |
 |
Oil paintings develop with time and even experience, something that our artists are very familiar with, born not just out of the images, things around you and people you see and present to us, but from the heart of your imagination that our artists transform into real works of treasured art. Not everyone is a landscape artist and not everyone can produce the finest portrait imaginable, so that is why our artists can take your visions and make them into the reality that you might not have the skills or time to do. However, there are some things help our artists develop these paintings from your compositions, when you get us to work on oil paintings for you. Oil paintings not only begin with the preparation and planning, but oil paintings are taken from the images you provide by our artists and formed from the oils, brushes and techniques of application that they have developed as professionals. The following things help our artists with your oil painting, things that may help you also understand the extensive efforts that they put in to ensure that your final product is the best it can be. They may: - Put the chosen oils on a palette in a set order each time to avoid accidental use of the wrong colours - Increase any oil levels for every painted layer so the oils are absorbed into the lower ones and the upper ones cannot crack by drying too fast - Avoid ivory black oil paint for sketching or underpainting as the drying process is slower in comparison to other oil colours - Use underlayers that work better because of the use of oil pigmented paints containing manganese, cobalt or lead that when mixed with other types of oil colours can assist in speeding up the drying of your painting’s lower layers - Use linseed oil as it helps with underpainting, thus enabling the paints in drying faster than other oils - Not use linseed oil for blue or white oil paints as it yellows them - Use olive oil for lighter colours to avoid yellowing oil paintings
