Wanting a personal portrait or one of your family requires a little know how on the part of the prospective client. You don’t want to launch into a process of which you have little understanding. Having that understanding of the process will translate into portraits that are done professionally and look natural. Rather than sitting for hours on end to have your family’s portraits done, find the right photographer to do the job instead of sending us a photo that you really are not totally happy with. Trying to maintain a pose with children and in sometimes restricting poses can be difficult, so believe me, a photographer will capture the moment and the ambience on film right the first time. When you choose a photographer, he will attend to your house or you can go to his studio where he will provide you with a portfolio of picture portraits so that you can see his level of expertise. Once that has been done, it is now time to find the right setting. This is something that the family can choose for itself rather than leaving it to the photographer to select. Typically a lot of family’s will choose to have portraits done in the natural setting of the outdoors. Perhaps your favourite place or what your children like is a good idea. These can range anywhere from ponds and rivers to small clearings and meadows are favourites. The only people who know what they want in a backdrop are the clients themselves. When the photos have been taken and your favourite picture taken, it is now time for one of our painters to do his or her task and create portraits that you are going to like and remember with much fondness because it won’t just be the atmosphere of the back drop captured, it will be the feeling of family and togetherness that is caught in the portraits you will cherish for years to come. "My mom was absolutely thrilled when she saw her painting. I ordered a 30x40 oil for er birthday of her and her horse, Sophie, who passed away in May of this year. Sophie was my mom's pride and joy, so when she died, things weren't really the same here. Now Sophie can be seen in all her glory on the mantle above the fireplace. I showed the picture to several friends who loved it and are planning to order portraits of their own horses. I also intend to have a painting done of my horse soon. I'll send a picture of my mom and I with her painting as soon as my dad e-mails it to me. Thanks for helping me give my mom the best birthday present!"
