My husband's grandmother passed away a few months after our oldest turned 1, the last pictures that we have of her are from his 1st Birthday, I wanted to do something different for my husband for Christmas this year and get him something that was personal, special, and would mean the world to him. He was very close to his grandmother and took her death pretty hard. So I sent in a picture of his grandmother holding our oldest on his 1st birthday and a picture of myself holding our youngest on his 1st birthday. I had them basically put the two pictures together so that it looked like she was holding the both of them, the finished product was amazing. And to say he LOVED IT is an understatement, he cried like a baby! Mission Accomplished!!

The photo is my dad and my kids. My father passed away on May 2nd, 2016. He was my best friend. My rock. I don`t have many photos with him, and I got pregnant with my first child, my son, at 18, 4 months after he passed. I had my second baby, my daughter, January 9th, 2020. I know he would`ve loved his grandbabies so much. To see an image of the 3 together, and how happy and blissful he looks while "holding" them, meant the world to me. Thank you so much for this. My wife's granddad passed away three years ago and her grandmother passed away a year later, six months before our daughter was born. They never got the chance to meet our daughter, so we were never lucky enough to get any pictures of them together. My wife was close with them, and as it approached the third anniversary of her granddad's passing away, I wanted to commemorate that in a unique way. I'd seen videos of others who had similar situations unboxing their paintings and instantly knew that my wife would love to have a painting of the three together. What we received was so much more incredible than I could have hoped and my wife loves the painting. We're moving house in a few weeks, and I can't wait to hang the painting in our daughter's room, so she will always know who her wonderful and kind-hearted great-grandparents were.

My grandmother, my mother’s mother, passed away in 2015. My mother was very close with her mother. When my beautiful niece was born in 2019, we always said her great grandma was watching over her. I wanted to get this painting for my mother of her mother holding the baby since they never had the chance to meet. My mother absolutely loved the painting and seeing them together! In November 2019 my great grandmother passed of lung cancer. I delivered my daughter Grace a month later in December of 2019, which would’ve been our 5th generation. A few hours before my great grandmother passed, the last thing she said to me was concerning the baby. My great grandmother was extremely dear to my grandfather, he was her firstborn of 5 children. I found @paintyourlife.com on Facebook and reached out to them about recreating a younger photo of my great grandmother and a recent photo of my daughter, hand-painted to gift to my grandfather for his birthday.
