"It`s been a rough year for everyone and for some even more so this holiday season. My wife`s brother was diagnosed with Covid days before Christmas and so he had to quarantine himself from the rest of the family. A week or so later her mom was diagnosed with Covid and couldn`t spend New Year`s with us. Her situation was so severe she had to go to the ER for treatment. The normal tradition for her side of the family is to open up presents on Christmas Eve, most of the time at her mom`s house. Because of Covid, we had to nix that. After New Year`s we were able to get the presents left at her mom`s house and open them. To play it safe we left them out of the house for a few days and then brought them in and opened them up in the garage. Hence why we`re not by a Christmas Tree. Even though this is not the Christmas any of us planned. Her present was what was needed at the right time. Her reaction is all I need as a Christmas gift.
