Although we got another puppy to bring some happiness into our home and also to add companionship to the life of our grieving Schnauzer, our hearts still ache over Belle`s passing. | "In the mid-90’s, while my wife Karen was a student at Ohio State, she found Sasha walking the streets of campus. The owner could not be found so Karen decided to keep her. Having a husky pup was not easily for my wife, considering husky’s are so stubborn and full of energy. But she is an animal lover and she loved that dog. In Sasha’s older years she had medical problems, auto immune disease and then diabetes. In June 2009 we lost Sasha after a month long battle with an infection that couldn’t be controlled due to her diabetes. It was one of the hardest things we’ve had to go through. Paint Your Life has given us the opportunity to have a hand painted oil painting so we can keep Sasha’s memory around us. Paint Your Life was able to take the picture of Sasha and place her in a separate background photo. It was a simple process and we were happy with the results."
