I recently became a grandmother to my first granddaughter, Maci. I thought it would be a great idea to have a painting done of her and her great paternal grandmothers; one died a few years ago. My mom and her special Christmas gift ????: This beautiful portrait is of my beloved Aunt “BooBoo” who was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother. She fought a courageous battle with colon cancer for two years before she gained her Angel Wings to go home in Heaven on November 21, 2019. As much as she is tremendously missed and loved by all of her loved ones on Earth, my siblings and I wanted to do something special for my mom for Christmas. A portrait of BooBoo would be a meaningful gift for my mom as they were more than just sisters by blood, they were the best friends by heart. They did everything together from going on road trips to having sleepovers on weekends to being silly to sharing some gossip to just simply being together. This portrait won’t bring BooBoo back physically, but it is a touching reminder that she is always there spiritually with my mom.
