My grandmother passed away almost 8 years ago. Christmas Eve with her grandkids was her favorite night of the year, and it created some of the most memorable moments of all of our lives. She never got to meet her great grandchildren, but she would’ve loved all of her boys. It’s only fitting that my sister and I (along with our dad) had an oil painting commissioned of her with our four kiddos. It’s exactly as we all remember her, and it was the greatest gift we’ve ever given. Absolutely heart warming moment. We love you, Gran. My mom and her special Christmas gift ????: This beautiful portrait is of my beloved Aunt “BooBoo” who was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother. She fought a courageous battle with colon cancer for two years before she gained her Angel Wings to go home in Heaven on November 21, 2019. As much as she is tremendously missed and loved by all of her loved ones on Earth, my siblings and I wanted to do something special for my mom for Christmas. A portrait of BooBoo would be a meaningful gift for my mom as they were more than just sisters by blood, they were the best friends by heart. They did everything together from going on road trips to having sleepovers on weekends to being silly to sharing some gossip to just simply being together. This portrait won’t bring BooBoo back physically, but it is a touching reminder that she is always there spiritually with my mom. I had a painting of our doggie done for my husband, Danny, as a Christmas gift. This dog is his little buddy and he’s getting old, so we don’t know how much longer he’ll be with us. I thought the painting would be a special gift for him and by his reaction in the video, you can tell that it is!
