Color Pencil Portraits

This is my Christmas gift to my parents. They’ve always wanted a picture of them together with their parents and what better way to gift them with something memorable. All our old pictures and VHS tapes went up in flames when our house burned about 15 years ago so when I saw an ad on FB about paint your life, I knew I found the perfect gift.

This drawing is so meaningful because my grandma passed away in 2014 and so she didn’t get to meet her great-grand-babies. My papa is so lost without her, and I wanted to get something for him to remind him that she’s looking over all of us.

What better way to do that is with Paint your life. Words can`t express what it meant to me his oldest daughter for you all to help me do this for me and my family.

"My wife’s dad passed away 7 years ago and he never met my kids Kamila (3 years old) and Kalista (7 months). I wanted to create a pic with Rene (wife’s late father) and his grandkids to remind her and them, that her dad is always with them. Amazing moment. "

"My Grandma and Great Grandma passed about three years apart from each other. They were huge influences on my mom, and me as well. I was 16 when my grandma passed and 19 when my great-grandma passed, and my sisters are much younger than me. I wanted my mom to have a picture with them as adults or close to it. They would’ve been so proud of where we all are now, no matter the ups and downs. My dad even helped us even though my parents are divorced. "
