Painted for Gina  Enterprise, AL

"My mother is one of eight children. Because most of their childhood was spent in an orphanage, it was difficult to capture a photo of all of the children with their parents, my grandmother, and grandfather. Unfortunately, both of my grandparents as well as my two uncles have passed away. A full family photo was never captured. Thanks to Paint Your Life, a portrait of all eight children with their parents was made possible. The sentimental value of this piece far outweighs the monetary value and that is demonstrated clearly through my mother`s emotions. The top row is all of the children. From left to right: Uncle Benny, Aunt Jane, Aunt Carole, Aunt Mary, my mother Margie, Aunt Gina, Aunt Jo, and Uncle Angelo. The bottom row is my grandparents: Angel and Louise. The Moreno`s. "

"Our grandfather (her father) passed away over 20 years ago and never got a chance to witness his great-grandchildren grow up and the great-grandchildren never got a chance to meet the guy who we all grew up with and loved! Thinking about a special gift to give our mother we knew the one gift she would love is for her dad and his grandchildren to meet and this picture was the closest way of joining them together!"

"My older brother passed away in 2014 and it broke my entire family. When I had my son in 2020, I hurt almost just as much to know that my brother and my son would never meet and we’d never have any pictures of them together. When I found Paint Your Life and commissioned a picture of them together, I didn’t expect such a perfect picture to be made or that it would match the image in my head so well! When my mother opened her presents on Christmas and saw this picture, the feelings we all shared that day were so grateful and so heartwarming, I couldn’t have been happier. "
