My step-grandfather passed away and my mother was extremely closer to him than she was to her biological father. Losing him was the saddest thing I’ve ever seen my mom go through. Our father passed away just one month before his first grandchild was born. I wanted to give my sister something that could make her and her daughter feel like he was there to meet her and paint my life and made it happen. My sister and her daughter finally have a picture of the two of them with our father for years to come. And the craziest part of this particular painting… it arrived ON Easter Sunday.
