For my mom`s 50th birthday I wanted to give her something extra special! Her parents had passed away a few years ago unexpectedly. They got to meet their first two great-grandbabies but never the third. I figured there`s nothing better than a picture of the great-grandparents with the grandkids.

My mom lost her father 2 yrs ago. It was very hard on her. On all of us since we are an extremely close family. We all had a very strong bond with him and I mean ALL of us especially his 8 great grandchildren. He loved them so much and they loved him, like seriously adored their great grandfather. The day of his funeral I put my head on his and with the unstoppable tears flowing down I asked him to please fill this void in all our hearts cuz we knew the road ahead was gonna be a bumpy one. Just two weeks after his passing we found out I was expecting. Then this little girl that I named Luna came into our lives and filled it with love, joy and laughter. She has been such a blessing. My grandfather would have absolutely went crazy over this girl and she would have loved him so much. It hurts me to my core that she wont get the chance to meet him but this picture shows exactly how that bond would have looked like. I know he is watching over her everyday. So my brothers and I thought of this perfect gift for my mom for her birthday. And it was definitely worth it.

My mom lost her dad sadly to cancer and doesn`t really have any pictures of him and her together. She regrets not having pictures with him but it was too late to take them. She misses him so much and even certain songs make her cry. She always talks about him and how she wishes he could have been around longer to see us grow up and his birthday is right after Mother`s Day and it always hurts her that he`s gone. I wanted to get a recent picture of her and one of the last pictures we have of my grandpa before he started his chemotherapy but sadly lost that battle. He is dearly missed by all of us!!
