It was my grandparents' 47th wedding anniversary and I wanted to give them the perfect gift! The Paint Your Life team did the impossible and created an image of my beautiful Nana, Grandad, and Evie all together. My nana and grandad have sadly passed away, so Evie has never met her great-grandparents. To see all 3 of them together brought a tear to my eye. Our painting is hanging pride of place in the dining room. This was our first family photo as a family of four. Due to the pandemic, my experience in the hospital was a lot different and my husband wasn’t even allowed to spend some time with us on the ward because it was out of visiting hours when Violet was born. Thankfully regulations had relaxed that by the time we were home we could have visitors which meant we could get this family photo of us all together.
