"After 50 years, our original 8"x10" wedding photo was very faded and wrinkled. It had been to Navy duty stations in Florida, Alaska, and Japan and, then, spent many years in a frame in Illinois. It was in desperate need of restoration before we completely disappeared from the photo! We found Paint Your Life and decided that photo restoration was one thing but having our photo turned into an actual oil painting was really a step up for our 50th wedding anniversary. The process took a bit longer than we expected because we were very picky about the looks of the painting. Paint Your Life`s artist took our requested changes to heart each time we asked and the resulting painting I s simply amazing to both of us. Our little photo is now a 20" x 26" quality oil painting. This Christmas Eve I wanted to give her something that she could treasure forever and always look to for comfort. After receiving this portrait in the mail I was so anxious to see her face and reaction. I must say that this moment was truly priceless. "So the story behind my order.. I was scrolling through Facebook late one night, browsing around for Christmas presents for my parents and came across an advertisement for paint my life. I wondered around their house noticing they had photos of their grandchildren but no photos of them all in one photo or both of them in it. Thought this would be a ripper of present for them! As all the grandchildren live in different towns and cities throughout Australia...When they received it Christmas Day, it got both parents in tears! At first they thought it was photo, they were amazed! For a good half hour, they were trying to figure out how I got photo like that done..when it was never taken! Haha made a great present, stands out to every person that comes through our lounge room!"
