"This portrait was done from a photo we took of our two girls, ages 3.5 and 2 while we were living in Australia. It was a rare moment captured of them getting along in a natural pose. Shortly after it was taken, we decided to move back to the USA after years abroad in the UK and Australia and I wanted to get my husband a special gift for our new home so I ordered this to be painted as a surprise. My husband loved it and we cannot wait to add more to our collection. Thank you for preserving this memory for us!"

"The painting is a picture of Ann and Frank Zindler, painted from a snapshot taken by our granddaughter Laura Zindler-Mollett. The photo was taken the day after Christmas, 2012. That was the last day Ann was in the hospital before coming home to Hospice. Ann died of cancer January 4, 2013. I am extremely grateful to Melissa for being able so realistically to show the love and hope in Ann’s eyes and face. Ann was herself a painter, and I’m sure she would have been deeply impressed by Melissa’s skill."
