My husband was only 5 years old when his mother passed away in a tragic car accident 45 years ago. She was on her way to pick him up from school, but never made it. He doesn’t have any photos of him and her together. Today is his 50th Birthday ???? and I wanted to give him a gift that he could cherish forever. paintyourlife.com has created a beautiful portrait of my mother-in-law and my husband when he was 5 years old. Mother’s Day came early for these two! My Papa, who I adored, passed away back in 2013. Since then my husband and I have had two children of our own (one of which was named after my Papa). There are rarely days since they’ve been born that my mom, grandmother or myself haven’t said, “I wish Papa was here to meet them, hold them and love them the way he loved us.” When I ran across Paint Your Life, I knew this was as close to him, “holding them” as we would get until we meet him in Heaven one day. ?? As I mentioned, this was suppose to be for Mother’s Day, but I couldn’t contain my excitement and I’m so glad I went ahead and gave it to them! My wife`s mom has been gone 15 yrs and she wished she had a family pic. My wife and I were only together for 9 yrs. She has 2 girls and I have 1 boy and 1 girl. We are a blended family but you wouldn`t know. My wife wishes we could have been all together for 1 pic. You made that possible. As you can see she loved the pic, then noticed her mom in it and the tears hit. Thanks for the hard work!
