The gift was a birthday surprise for my best friend. The painting was of her and her late mother who unexpectedly passed away in December 2013. Her brother and my family members also contributed to paying for the oil painting. The portraiture artist did an excellent job of capturing the special love between my best friend and her mother. My best friend lost her father 10 years ago. This picture is the only one she has of him. The original has a chunk missing from the tape being pulled off of it. She refuses to let her husband take it in to be digitally repaired and have another printed off for fear of it getting ruined or lost. This was a great way to give her another longer-lasting copy.

This was a painting for my Father’s birthday. In the painting are my father and his late mother. He was overwhelmed with emotion and the video captures that. The love he has for his mother is one that will last a lifetime and I wanted my father to have a beautiful painting of the two of them smiling and happy.
