This is my daughter. She was extremely close to my Mom (who lived with us). My Mom passed away 3 years before her twin boys were born. My mom and my grandfather (her father) were so close to one another. My grandfather ended up getting lung cancer and passing away last year. At the time of his passing, I found out I was pregnant but didn’t tell him or anyone in my family, due to the simple factor of the entire family`s pain and suffering of our major loss. When we finally did tell them about our baby boy, my husband and I decided to name him after my grandfather! My mom has said for my son`s entire 8 months on this earth, “ I wish my dad was here so I could see him hold my first grandson.” And that’s where paint your life made it come alive for her 49th birthday present!

My husband and I chose to have this painting done for my mom for Mother`s Day. My father passed away in 2015 and never got to meet our son. Our son was born in 2018, and we have always said my dad was instrumental in bringing our son to us through a very long and difficult journey. My mom was completely overcome with emotion.
