"My dad passed away unexpectedly July of 2019 he had a heart attack while driving and never made it home. I had my first baby on 9/1/21 and he always dreamed of having grandkids. It was bittersweet when I had my princess because he never had the opportunity to meet her therefore we put this portrait together for my mom to keep his memory alive and make his dream come true. "

"My mother-in-law lost her father 10 years ago. October was the year anniversary of her mother`s passing. Even though her mom was able to meet her great-grandkids, she wished her father had that opportunity. Now she has a picture of her 6 most cherished people in the world, in one picture. "

Painted for James  Shepherdsville, KY

"Life is hard when you lose your parents, but unfortunately, my mom lost both her parents and I lost my grandparents within 14 months of each other. Not long after our little girl was born, cancer took her mom and my grandma. So we wanted the perfect gift for such a rough year. We love you, Mom! "

Painted for Jazmyn  Sacramento, CA

"My Papa died in 2007 from colon cancer, my grandmother misses him all the time & still cries when watching Dream Girls because that was the last movie they watched before he died. I would have loved to have him at my wedding so I asked my grandmother to wear an engraved necklace of him & me (which is in the painting). I`m very fortunate the wedding photographer was able to get the perfect picture of my grandmother & me at the reception. When I saw the last picture of my Papa in a suit at my grandmother`s house I knew it would fit perfectly & that it did! My grandmother now has a painting of the three of us at my wedding forever. "

"The woman in the video is my mom and 2 years ago her mom, my grandma, passed away. I just recently had my first kid, Asher, and it would have been my grandma’s first great-grandchild. She always wanted to be a great-grandma and it hurts all of us that she never got the chance to meet Asher or give him love. This painting allows us to see her holding him and giving him her grandma`s love. Like my mom said, he was handpicked by her. This is the best gift I have ever gotten and I am in love with it. "

Painted for Emily  Gonzales, LA

"On February 2, 2021, my mom lost her mother unexpectedly. Watching my mom’s heartache and pain at family get together this year made losing her even harder. The last photo taken of her was on her birthday, with all of her great-grandchildren in her lap as the rest of the family sang “Happy Birthday”. That was the happiest any of the family ever saw her. As the holidays started to inch closer I wanted to get my mom the most meaningful Christmas gift I could give her since this has been by far the hardest year for her. So, I sent the last photo ever taken of I have of her mom at her happiest to be painted into a portrait for her. The day we celebrated our family Christmas, the family and I made sure she was the last one to open her presents so all of the family members can not only watch her reaction but remember how happy she was with her life and how much she loved each and every one of us.
