"My dad’s parents both passed in recent years – my grandma (his mother) luckily got to meet my daughter when she was about 4-5 months old. She only ended up meeting her that one time, but my dad always says how grateful he is that she at least got to meet her great-granddaughter, but also, that he knows how much of a kick my grandpa (his dad) would’ve gotten out of my daughter. After seeing an ad for @Paintyourlife – I just knew I had to make this portrait happen and I’m so glad I did. My mom did not get a chance to see him say her goodbyes, as she was still hospitalized. I was 9 months pregnant with my daughter and my dad passed away 2 weeks before she was born. This is the only memory we are able to cherish, my father with all his grandchildren. "
