This is a painting of my wife Nikki and her late mother Tresa. Nikki’s mother passed away suddenly in 2009. Her mother’s passing was unexpected and extremely hard for her. Nik was only 21 and barely beginning to live her adult life. She had just had our first daughter and was enjoying watching her mom being a grandmother to her only grandchild. Sometimes we don’t understand the choices God makes for our lives while we’re weathering the storm, but she knows He makes no mistakes. Momma T loved her more than anyone ever loved their kid. Nothing can give Nikki those years and special moments she longs for with her mom but she knows she’s still around. She tells me she feels her presence often. This painting is a small gesture, but I pray it brings a little more comfort and peace to my wife’s heart having it. Happy Anniversary sweeties! I love you!

I wanted to give something to my wife for our 17 year anniversary that I know she would never forget. @paintyourlife did an amazing job especially David who was the artist. Of painting a portrait of my wife and her younger brother who unfortunately passed away. David was able to capture exactly what my wife absolutely loved about painting her baby brother!!.
