Helen Myk
Helen has been drawing since childhood, and remembers how she longingly learned how to paint portraits, day and night, including a lot of spoiled efforts in a rush to get results immediately. Sometimes it seemed to her that nothing would work out. In fact, many times people discouraged her, berating her that art wasn’t a serious profession. Helen did not give up, determinedly following her path. She went on to study painting at university, and meanwhile fell in love with graphics as well. Helen now creates portraits with black pencil, coal, watercolors and oil paints. She is fascinated by pencil and paint strokes, as well as coal crumbling under her fingers.
