My dad is REALLY difficult to get gifts for! My husband and I really wanted to get him something nice for Christmas so I thought "what does my dad love?" and what I came up with was his dog, Hudson! The painting was AMAZING and my dad loves it!

The painting is of our late dog, Buffy. She passed away in September and she LOVED going to the creek near our home. My brothers and I ordered it for my mom for Christmas. Our mom loved Buffy. They did everything together. Buffy thought she was a lap dog and she absolutely loved being on or next to my moms lap. It has been a difficult 3 months for my mom and we thought this would bring back some happiness by being able to look at the painting every single day!

After losing our cat Buster last year to stage 4 kidney failure my mom was devastated. She had so much love for him that it almsot broke her. I was trying to find the perfect Christmas present for her when paint your lifes post on Facebook popped up. At first I was alittle skeptical but decided to give it a shot. I am SO GLAD I DID!!! When I saw the final product I just knew what would happen. On Christmas Eve we decided to open our gifts, we wanted her to open the painting first knowing what was going to happen, reaction was PRICELESS. As she opened the box and then the wrapping she was completely unaware. When she opened the wrapping the tears began to flow She immediately hung it up on the wall and with happy tears streaming down her face she said "it is almost like he is here again." After losing her mother, her spouse, and her furbaby, my mother had a major void in her heart. This Christmas Eve I wanted to give her something that she could treasure forever and always look to for comfort. After receiving this portrait in the mail I was so anxious to see her face and reaction. I must say that this moment was truly priceless. Our daughter lost her dog of ten years to cancer this summer to cancer. It`s been very hard on all of us. We did this painting for her Christmas. The artist did a fantastic job.
