This photo is of my mom and her father. Her father passed away when she was 12 years old so she rarely has any photos with him. And thought it would be great to have a picture of him and her as an adult together. I and my 3 siblings decided to get this portrait for her for Christmas.

My husband's grandmother was the star in their family’s lives. She basically raised my husband. She passed away before we got married and never got to meet our two boys. My mother-in-law wanted nothing more than for her to meet the boys, so we had them painted together for her for Christmas.

The painting is of our late dog, Buffy. She passed away in September and she LOVED going to the creek near our home. My brothers and I ordered it for my mom for Christmas. Our mom loved Buffy. They did everything together. Buffy thought she was a lap dog and she absolutely loved being on or next to my moms' lap. It has been a difficult 3 months for my mom and we thought this would bring back some happiness by being able to look at the painting every single day!
