The painting was for my mom on her birthday. She lost her dad (my grandpa) in 2016 and he never got to meet my daughter (her first grandchild), so I decided It would be a good idea to get a painting made of her, her dad, her mom, and my daughter so she can have a picture of all of them together.

My niece is a rainbow baby. After years of trying to conceive my sister and brother-in-law had Emma. But sadly due to the pandemic, she was unable to meet her grandpa. Also, her great grandmother sadly passed and would have been able to meet the blessing we all prayed for them.

This portrait is very sentimental to my husband as his mom recently passed away this year in July unexpectedly. This picture was taken on our wedding day June 9, 2019. He is having a hard time with all “the first” meaning her birthday just passed this month, and I wanted to do something for him since this was the first one she was not here with us anymore. He loves it and I know he will cherish this forever.
